The role:
As a Project Manager, you will lead on the delivery of several high-value business transformation initiatives within a magic circle law firm, based in Central London. You will engage with C-suite executives and other senior level stakeholders, providing essential support on an outsourcing programme to keep projects on track, on time, and within scope.

Key responsibilities:
- Programme Leadership: Plan, manage, and deliver the business transformation programme, ensuring alignment with the firm’s strategic objectives, timelines, and budgets.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison for senior stakeholders, providing regular updates, building trust, addressing concerns, and ensuring buy-in across global teams.
- Risk and Compliance Management: Proactively identify and mitigate risks, ensuring all outsourcing activities comply with legal, regulatory, and data protection requirements in various jurisdictions.
- Process optimisation: Collaborate with business function leaders to map current processes, identify improvements, and transition operations to offshore locations with minimal disruption.
- Vendor and SLA Oversight: Work with procurement teams to negotiate, manage, and monitor vendor contracts and service level agreements to meet organisational standards.
- Vendor Management: Act as the key liaison between the client and third party vendors, ensuring delivery is maintained within KPIs and service level agreements.
- Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional project teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and alignment across internal and external stakeholders.
Who you are
We are looking for exceptional skills in the following areas:
- Stakeholder management: Demonstrated ability to engage, build trust, influence, and own key relationships with senior stakeholders (C level and Programme Board), ensuring alignment and effective communication. As the face of the project, you will need to drive energy and momentum from day one.
- Project / Programme Management expertise: Experience in managing business transformation related projects, ideally as part of a consultancy, with high levels of complexity and ambiguity.
- Process optimisation: Expertise in analysing, mapping, and improving business processes (particularly in functional areas such as finance, marketing, procurement, and HR) along with experience in designing and implement target operating models, is highly desirable.
- Vendor and contract management: Proficiency in negotiating and managing vendor relationships, including drafting and monitoring service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure delivery excellence.
- Leadership and team management: Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams on a client site, both onshore and offshore, fostering collaboration and accountability.
- Regulatory and compliance knowledge: Familiarity with legal, regulatory, and data protection considerations related to outsourcing and offshoring in a global context.
- Legal industry experience: due to the complex organisational nature of global law firms, legal industry experience would be advantageous, along with experience in similar industries i.e. professional services.
