The role:
The Business Analyst will play a key role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions, ensuring that transformation initiatives align with strategic goals. This role involves working closely with legal professionals, business support teams, and technology specialists to analyse requirements, improve processes, and implement effective solutions within a global legal environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the firm to elicit, document, and validate business requirements.
- Analyse current business processes and identify areas for improvement, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
- Work on technology-driven projects, including the implementation of case management, document management, and workflow automation solutions.
- Support business transformation initiatives, such as operational improvements, regulatory compliance, and digital innovation.
- Develop detailed business cases, user stories, process maps, and functional specifications.
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and focus groups to gather insights and define solutions.
- Liaise between business teams and IT to ensure requirements are accurately translated into technical solutions.
- Support change management activities, including stakeholder engagement, training, and post-implementation reviews.
- Conduct data analysis to support decision-making and performance improvements.
- Ensure all business analysis activities align with industry best practices and the firm’s strategic objectives.
Who you are:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst with experience in the legal industry.
- Strong understanding of legal business processes, including practice management, document automation, and compliance requirements.
- Experience in delivering technology-driven projects, particularly involving legal technology platforms (e.g., case management, contract lifecycle management, document management systems).
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage with legal professionals, business services teams, and IT specialists.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in business analysis methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall approaches.
- Experience in process modelling, gap analysis, and requirements documentation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A relevant qualification in Business Analysis (e.g., BCS, IIBA) is desirable.
