The role:
We’re on the hunt for a mid-level PMO Manager with experience in managing programme delivery within consultancy engagements. In this role, you’ll be a key player in steering our programmes to success, ensuring that timelines, budgets, and client expectations are not just met but exceeded.
You’ll be managing project governance, spotting risks, and keeping everyone aligned so we can consistently deliver outstanding results to our customer.
Key responsibilities:
- To manage the Risk, Action, Issue and Dependency processes within the Programme Team including chairing daily calls, maintaining an accurate RAID log, chasing action progress off-line and escalating as appropriate
- Advising the Programme Director on treatment options for major risks and issues which are identified
- To manage the Programme Change Control process to review, analyse, process and track all Programme Change Requests
- To review, analyse and process Exception Reports as raised by the Customer Workstream Leads
- To produce and present accurate and timely Management Information, Reporting and Analysis
- To monitor and track key internal and external programme milestones
- Effective management and assurance for the appropriate use of key systems
- To attend key governance meetings to take meeting minutes and present back to the attendees
- Log and report back for onward consideration for future Programmes
- To identify and implement opportunities to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the Programme organisation
Who you are:
- An experienced and dynamic PMO professional with around 7+years in PMO, with a track record in delivery as part of a consultancy programmes
- Excellent management skills to own and drive PMO processes (as opposed to simply administering them)
- A champion of all things PMO-related, able to showcase the value-add of PMO at exec level
- Knowledgeable in project management methodologies, but flexible and able to adapt to different clients and project needs
- A confident communicator who can break down complex information into plain English for clients and teams alike
- Skilled in managing multiple projects and priorities whilst maintaining calm under pressure
- Proficient MS Office skills including Sharepoint, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
